Raymond Campbell
Raymond Campbell was one of the first two additions to FESCUE,
in 1989 when the need for additional players became apparent. Raymond plays
mandolin, an instrument essential in developing the true bluegrass sound. His is
a Anderson Master Model Number 71. Raymond began playing music early in life
playing with several different groups.
When he joined FESCUE, he was able to contribute a much needed sound to the
guitar and bass. Adding harmony to the vocals allowed the band to expand their
repertoire of tunes.
Raymond is a beef and dairy farmer by day, and a musician in his spare time. He
and his wife June Ella have one child and live on their farm in Rich Valley, VA.
