Mike Goodman
Mike Goodman has been with FESCUE since 1995, replacing Ed Stringer on banjo.
His is a 1987 Gibson Granada. Mike plays with a slightly different hand, and has
led the band to a more modern bluegrass sound; increased speed and volume. He
also sings baritone and bass.
Mike began playing banjo when he was nine years old. His parents were avid
bluegrass fans and encouraged him by spending summers taking him to festivals
and conventions. He played with several bands before signing on with FESCUE
seven years ago.
A jeweler by trade, Mike has stores in Marion and Chilhowie, VA. He and his wife
Barbara have four children.
