John Casey

John Casey made the move to bluegrass in 1992. He has played a variety of musical styles; however, the sound of bluegrass now flows exclusively from his guitars; a 2001 HD28LSV Martin, and a Martin HD28 Custom. John began playing guitar at the age of eleven. He experimented with different musical styles and eventually played lead guitar in several different rock and roll bands.
In addition to playing guitar, Casey alternates with Blackburn to sing lead, and can add baritone or tenor when needed.
John is a building and grounds supervisor, married to Donna Casey, and is the father of two children. They make their home in Glade Spring, VA. John also enjoys his amateur radio hobby and hunts and fishes in season.
