Thursday night brings the community to the old Helton School for pickin, singing, and dancing. Fast and hard driving bluegrass and old time fiddling can be heard here each week

For 4 generations the Phipps Store and farm have thrived in Silas Creek.

The Riverview Community Center is located in Creston, NC. People come from all around on Friday night to pick and sing. They have a large stage for musicians and plenty of seating for everyone. Visit their website here.

The Guitar Shop is home to Wayne Henderson. Fine hand crafted instruments are created at this shop along with professional repairs made by Wayne Henderson, Gerald Anderson, and Herb Keys. Year round planning goes into the Wayne Henderson Music Festival and Guitar Competition held the third Saturday in June. This is a favorite place to visit and great pickin can be found here almost any time, the local players gather together for small repairs and to talk shop about the events they participate in.
